Duties/Responsibilities

• Manage engineering production support activities ensuring efficient processing of concessions/production permits/source changes and incorporation of corrective/preventative actions
• Analyse variations to specifications/engineering drawings which effect part form, fit, and function. This analysis will include performing tolerance, stress and metallurgical analysis.
• Support design assurance activities such as design reviews, MRB, & approval of Engineering documents.
• Manage regulatory eg REACH and obsolescence activities impacting product design and ensuring specification compliance.
• Support project development teams ensuring the technical integrity of products.
• Attend and contribute to design reviews.
• Support / lead resolution of problem reports, FRACAS or Customer technical issues through the use of root cause analysis tools and processes.
• Support the mentoring and development of the engineering team.

Qualifications/Training Required

• Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years relevant mechanical engineering experience
• Full driving licence
• Must have an understanding of engineering materials and production methods – machining, light fabrication, assembly, surface treatments.
• Experience liaising with customers/suppliers
