Process Chromatography

Process chromatography supports
The function of the resin supports in a process chromatography column is critical. Often the pharmaceutical products being processed are of extremely high value and failure can cause significant financial losses. The materials used to make process chromatography supports must offer the following properties:

  • made to cGMP standards for optimum cleanliness
  • pass USP class 6 approvals
  • must have low extractables and should not adsorb critical chemical components
  • provide uniform flow through the column
  • provide the required strength to support the resins without exhibiting prohibitive pressure drop
  • engineered to highest quality to achieve zero leakage

Porvair Filtration Group range of materials and our engineering excellence ensure that we have the ideal product for your particular application and we can custom make to all the required sizes and designs. Included in the range is:

  • BioVyonTM standard sintered porous polyethylene idea for single use disposable applications
  • BioVyonTM hydrophilic sintered porous polyethylene, instantly wettable for single use applications
  • Sinterflo® M stainless steel sintered meshes

Please contact a Porvair Filtration Group company representative for further information and advice on our complete range of filtration solutions for the process chromotography industry, and our design and manufacturing services.
