Porvair showcase novel beer stabilisation filters
Porvair Filtration Group, an international leader in high performance filtration and separation materials and products for the food and beverage market will be exhibiting at the Brau Beviale 2012 trade show in Nuremberg, Germany in Hall 4 at Stand 4-422.
At this prestigious beverage event, Porvair will showcase its TrapfilTM guard filter, specifically developed for the retention of polyvinylpolypyrrolidone (PVPP) and diatomite particles commonly used in beer and wine stabilisation.
Manufactured from a multi-layer combination of polypropylene support layers and filtration media, all TrapfilTM components of construction are FDA approved and meet or exceed EC Directives for Food Contact. Resistant to hot caustic and standard CIP chemicals, TrapfilTM filters are designed to be regenerated by backflushing, providing more value per hectolitre.
Available in a variety of lengths and industry standard adaptors, TrapfilTM cartridges are offered in 5, 10 and 15 micron ratings, all validated to Beta 5000. The cartridges are resistant to repeat steam sterilisation and hot water cycles frequently used in breweries.
Also on show will be a range of clarifying and sterilising-grade liquid filters specific to the beverage industry as well as an innovative patented material incorporating PVPP that replaces powder formats with an easy to handle cartridge format.
